2-Right-Standing With God

YOUR RIGHT-STANDING WITH GOD
Mat. 6:24-34; Mat. 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

IT IS GOD'S WILL FOR US TO POSSESS THE KINGDOM
(Luke 12:31-32) But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. {32} Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. —
(Gal 1:4) Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father. —
(Col 1:12) Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

SEEKING OUR RIGHT-STANDING IN THAT KINGDOM — (Gal 3:6-29-read) (Mat 5:6) Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

  1. We must develop a righteousness consciousness, instead of living in consciousness of past sins.
  2. Righteousness by faith — (Rom 3:21-22) But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; {22} Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
  3. A gift (Rom 5:17) For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
  4. If you can BELIEVE you are saved then you can BELIEVE you are the righteousness of God by faith in His blood — (Rom 3:25) Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
  5. 2Cor 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
  6. 1Cor 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

WALKING IN OUR RIGHT-STANDING WITH GOD WILL PRODUCE GOD'S BLESSINGS —
(Mat 6:31-34) Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? {32} (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. {33} But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. {34} Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

  1. What we shall eat.
  2. What we shall drink.
  3. How we shall be clothed.
  4. Protection and security from the evils of tomorrow.

OUR RIGHT PLACE IN CHRIST.

  1. All this is God's will for us (Heb 10:9-10) Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. {10} By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
  2. We are to look at ourselves through His eyes. — (Heb 10:1-2) For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. {2} For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshipers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
  3. (Heb 10:12-14) But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; {13} From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. {14} For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
  4. (Heb 9:7-9) But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: {8} The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: {9} Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;
  5. (Heb 9:11-14) But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; {12} Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. {13} For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: {14} How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
