INTEGRITY OF GOD'S WORD
Num. 23:19; 22–24; Gen. 1; Eph. 5:24-27; Jer. 1:12; Ps. 138:2

THE REALITY OF THE INTEGRITY OF GOD'S WORD…
For more than 1,000 years the Word of God was hidden in monasteries and in a language not of the people; then the Reformation; then doctrines and creeds.

WE MUST PUT THE WORD FIRST.

A. The Word is God speaking to you.
B. The Bible is not just a book; it is a God-breathed, God-in-dwelt, God inspired message. Don't read extra words into it or explain it away.
(Psa 119:89) For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
(Psa 138:2) I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
(Heb 4:12) For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
C. We are to believe only what the Word says – not what we think it says or what someone else says that it says – then walk in the light of what it says!

WE MUST BECOME WORD-MINDED.

(John 8:31-32) Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; {32} And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
(John 15:7) If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
(Jas 1:18) Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of Firstfruits of his creatures.
(1Pet 1:23) Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
(Mat 4:4) But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
(Luke 4:4) And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
(Eph 6:17) And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
A. We are to seek only what is promised in the Word.
B. The inward witness will grow to maturity only as we are mindful of God's Word
(Heb 5:13-14) For every one that useth milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. {14} But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

GOD RELEASES HIS FAITH THROUGH HIS WORD

(Heb 11:3) Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
A. The written Word is a certified copy of what God has already released to us through faith.
(Psa 119:89) For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

GOD’S FAITH AND OUR FAITH
COME TOGETHER ONLY THROUGH HIS WORD.

A. His faith is active in these words NOW!
(John 3:21) But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
(Rom 10:17) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. - {Isa. 55:6-13}

HIS WORDS PREVAIL ON THE LIPS OF A BELIEVER ––
Isa. 57:19; Lev. 7:12; Hos. 14:2; Heb. 13:15
A. Through Jesus Christ–be fearless in the presence of Satan.
B. The Word prevails in the life of a believer
(John 8:31) Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed.
C. The Word prevails in prayer. Ask what you will
(John 15:7) If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

THE CLEANSING BY THE WORD PREPARES FOR THE GLORY
(1Pet 1:2) Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

LIVING BY THE WORD
Dt. 8:3; 28:1-14 (Mat 4:4) But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
(Luke 4:4) And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
A. The preached Word
(Rom 10:17) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
B. The studied Word
(2Tim 2:15) Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
     1. Brings approval of God.
     2. Puts us in agreement with God.
C. The confessed Word
(Jer 1:12) Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.
D. God watches over His Word to perform it.
E. That's all He performs
(Heb 3:1-6) Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; {2} Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. {3} For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. {4} For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God. {5} And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; {6} But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
(Heb 4:1) Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.  {11} Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. {12} For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. {13} Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. {14} Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. {15} For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. {16} Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

THE WORD IS GOD'S PART OF OUR PRAYER LIFE.
Three of seven pieces of intercessory prayer armor are specifically the Word
(Eph 6:13-18) Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. {14} Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; {15} And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; {16} Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. {17} And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: {18} Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

THE REST COMES BY THE WORD.
A. Righteousness – by faith of Jesus
(Rom 3:22) Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
B. Faith
(Rom 10:17) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
C. Salvation
(1Pet 1:23) Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
D. Praying in the Spirit
Ephesians 6:18 WEB with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints: Jude 1:20 WEB But you, beloved, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.
E. The Spirit of Truth (John 14:17) Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. (John 16:7) Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.\(John 16:13) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.
(2Cor 4:13) But having the same Spirit of faith, according to that which is written, "I believed, and therefore I spoke." We also believe, and therefore also we speak.
