REDEEMED BY HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD
1Pet. 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; (19) But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
1. Redemption is a blessing that comes through faith in the Blood of Jesus.
2. Because we are redeemed, we ought to be thankful every day of our lives.
3. We are no longer sinners, because we have been bought back from the slavery of sin.
4. It was through the shed blood of Jesus that we were redeemed and saved.
5. We could not save ourselves. But Jesus came along and did it for us.
6. As a result we can stand before God without a feeling of guilt.
7. In this day, we must keep in mind that the blood of Jesus has been manifested just for us.
8. Now we have been declared righteous because of what Jesus did for us.
1Cor 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:
2Cor 5:21 Him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; that we might become the righteousness of God in him.
Php 3:9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of mine own, even that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith:
GOD DID NOT BUY US WITH A PERISHABLE ITEM, BUT WITH THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF THE ANOINTED ONE, THE LAMB WITHOUT BLEMISH AND WITHOUT SPOT.
Ephesians 5:25-27 ASV Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it; 26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, 27 that he might present the church to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
1. That manifestation is evident in the peace we have in the midst of turmoil.
2. In these days, your sleep should be sweet. Ask yourself, "Is your sleep peaceful at night?"
3. If so, that is the manifestation of your redemption in Christ.
WE HAVE FAITH IN THE NAME AND THE BLOOD OF JESUS, AND WE CAN SLEEP LIKE A BABY.
Proverbs 3:21-26 AMP My son, let them not escape from your sight, but keep sound and godly Wisdom and discretion, 22 And they will be life to your inner self, and a gracious ornament to your neck (your outer self). 23 Then you will walk in your way securely and in confident trust, and you shall not dash your foot or stumble. [Psa. 91:11- 12; Pro. 10:9.] 24 When you lie down, you shall not be afraid; yes, you shall lie down, and your sleep shall be sweet. 25 Be not afraid of sudden terror and panic, nor of the stormy blast or the storm and ruin of the wicked when it comes [for you will be guiltless], 26 For the Lord shall be your confidence, firm and strong, and shall keep your foot from being caught [in a trap or some hidden danger].
WE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN REDEEMED WITHOUT A TOTAL REMISSION OR FULL PAYMENT FOR SIN.
Hebrews 9:22 "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission."
THE WORD REMISSION MEANS FREEDOM, FORGIVENESS, PARDON, AND DELIVERANCE HAVE BEEN PURCHASED BY THE BLOOD OF CHRIST!
Matthew 26:27-28 ASV And he took a cup, and gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 28 for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many unto remission of sins.
Matthew 26:27-28 AMP And He took a cup, and when He had given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, Drink of it, all of you; 28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which [ratifies the agreement and] is being poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
Exodus 24:6-8 AMP And Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he dashed against the altar. 7 Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people; and they said, All that the Lord has said we will do, and we will be obedient. 8 And Moses took the [remaining half of the] blood and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant which the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.
Hebrews 8:6 AMP But as it now is, He [Christ] has acquired a [priestly] ministry which is as much superior and more excellent [than the old] as the covenant (the agreement) of which He is the Mediator (the Arbiter, Agent) is superior and more excellent, [because] it is enacted and rests upon more important (sublime, higher, and nobler) promises.
Hebrews 10:28-29 AMP Any person who has violated and [thus] rejected and set at naught the Law of Moses is put to death without pity or mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. [Deut. 17:2-6.] 29 How much worse (sterner and heavier) punishment do you suppose he will be judged to deserve who has spurned and [thus] trampled underfoot the Son of God, and who has considered the covenant blood by which he was consecrated common and unhallowed, thus profaning it and insulting and outraging the [Holy] Spirit [Who imparts] grace (the unmerited favor and blessing of God)? [Ex. 24:8 above]
1. It is the blood of Jesus that remitted our sins.
2. Without the shedding of blood, there is no freedom, no pardon, no forgiveness, and no deliverance.
3. But thank God the blood was shed. So we have deliverance and freedom.
4. We have been pardoned, and we have been forgiven.
5. If Jesus had not given His life, then we would be doomed for eternal destruction.
HE LOOKED PAST WHETHER OR NOT WE DESERVED IT - BECAUSE WE DIDN'T - AND GAVE HIS LIFE IN SPITE OF US.
Rom. 5:6 AMP While we were yet in weakness [powerless to help ourselves], at the fitting time Christ died for (in behalf of) the ungodly.
1. It is no wonder we ought to be willing to show some sign before other men that we love the Lord.
2. With all God has given us, we ought
to let the world know that there is a Name that we are submitted to.
3. It is the Name of Jesus. We believe in Him and everybody around us ought to know we are Christians.
Acts 2:38 AMP And Peter answered them, Repent (change your views and purpose to accept the will of God in your inner selves instead of rejecting it) and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of and release from your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
John 20:31 AMP But these are written (recorded) in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ (the Anointed One), the Son of God, and that through believing and cleaving to and trusting and relying upon Him you may have life through (in) His name [through Who He is]. [Psa. 2:7,12.]
Acts 3:16 AMP And His name, through and by faith in His name, has made this man whom you see and recognize well and strong. [Yes] the faith which is through and by Him [Jesus] has given the man this perfect soundness [of body] before all of you.
Acts 10:43 AMP To Him all the prophets testify (bear witness) that everyone who believes in Him [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him, giving himself up to Him] receives forgiveness of sins through His name.
John 8:36 AMP So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free.
John 8:36 ASV If therefore the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
