THE PRAYER OF FAITH
John 14:12-14; Mark 11:22-25; Hebrews 11:1; James 5:16
John 14:12-14  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.  (13)  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  (14)  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
Mark 11:22-25  And Jesus answering saith unto them,  Have faith in God.  (23)  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.  (24)  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.  (25)  And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
Hebrews 11:1  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
James 5:16  Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

THE PRAYER FOR YOURSELF.
1. Say it.
2. Believe it (your words).
3. Receive it — see yourself with the answer
(Heb 11:17-19) By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son. {18} Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: {19} Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.
4. Act on what you are believing (Jas 2:17) Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

SPEAK TO THE MOUNTAIN.
1. Jesus spoke to the wind and sea —
(Mark 4:39) And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
2. Speak the desired end results!
(Mk 11:24) Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

THE PRAYER OF FAITH DEPENDS COMPLETELY ON THE WORD. IT REQUIRES NO OTHER EVIDENCE.
1. (Mat 8:5-13) And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, {6} And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. {7} And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. {8} The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. {9} For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. {10} When Jesus heard it, he marveled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. {11} And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. {12} But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. {13} And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.…
2. (John 15:7) If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.…
3. (1John 3:22-23) And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. {23} And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
4. cp (Luke 1:13-18) But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zechariah: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. {14} And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. {15} For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb. {16} And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. {17} And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. {18} And Zechariah said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.
5. with (Rom 4:16-22) Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, {17}(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. {18} Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. {19} And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb: {20} He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; {21} And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. {22} And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

THE PRAYER OF FAITH BY THE ELDERS.
James 5:14-16 AMP Is anyone among you sick? He should call in the church elders (the spiritual guides). And they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord's name.  15 And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.  16 Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
1. THIS WON'T WORK WITHOUT YOU.
2. CALL OR PRAY IT FOR YOURSELF.
3. YOU MAY BE TOO WEAK TO BELIEVE FOR YOURSELF.
4. PRAYER BASED ON THE WORD IS PRAYER BASED ON THE LORD'S WILL.
5. THIS IS A REVELATION EACH NEEDS TO RECEIVE.
(Jer 1:12) Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.
(1John 3:22) And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
(1John 5:14-15) And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: {15} And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

STEPS TO A DEEPER LIFE IN PRAYER
1. Ask the Father in Jesus' name, not for Jesus' sake —
(John 16:23) And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

2. Believe that you receive —
(Mark 11:24) Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

3. When you stand praying, forgive —
(Mark 11:25) And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

4. Depend on the Holy Spirit to help in prayer —
(Rom 8:26) Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
(1Cor 14:14) For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.

5. Pray the prayer of intercession —
(1Tim 2:1) I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

6. Take time to pray in the Spirit to build yourself up —
(1Cor 14:4) He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, {this is prayer inspired by the Spirit}

7. When you pray in tongues, pray to interpret —
(1Cor 14:13) Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.
